This hostel is central to Dunedin, so you do not have to walk far to the restaurants and bars in the Octagon. The hostel sits over a large bar with a lot of billiard tables. Seems very popular with the locals and college students studying at the nearby University of Otago. The dorm rooms are typical bunk bed layouts with budget twin mattresses. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and a decent kitchen area. They have free breakfast, but it is a pretty minimal offering.

The apartment was really spacious and light and the location was perfect for our stay in the Dunedin! The building has a history & I liked that they had kept the history but it felt comtempory. It was within walking distance of the beach & restaurants & cafes & a short driving distance to get out onto the Otago Peninsula! We also appreciated the shared washing facilities as we were on a road trip!

This is a very spacious comfortable separate loft apartment with a well equiped kitchen. The bathroom is also a good size. The furniture and decor is nice and the fire place is very welcomed during our mid winter stay. Location is good being a 5min drive to Cromwell town centre. If you are looking for a nice vineyard stay in central Otago, this will be hard to beat.

Nice property on the South side of Dunedin, very convenient to the Otago peninsula and the wildlife activities there. There are excellent restaurants within close walking distance. (the on-site restaurants were closed when we were there). The kitchen was quite adequate for breakfast and lunch. The soaking tub was much appreciated!

Quite possibly the very best accommodation we have stayed in, in New Zealand! We were in Dunedin to register our daughter at Otago University and the apartment was the perfect location and offered the perfect amenities for our stay. Spotlessly clean, and with everything you need to make your stay a memorable one.

Absolutely stunning apartment, with every comfort. Views over the valley, and a large, sheltered balcony for evening drinks. Superbly equipped in all respects. Easy access to Dunedin and the Albatross Centre on the Otago peninsula. Thanks for a perfect end to our NZ "road trip".

The stuff was very friendly. The apartment was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. There a washer and dryer on site to use for an extra fee. Location was perfect, around the corner from Otago museum, lots of restaurants around and a walking distance to the centre and bars.

Great hotel in the middle of town. Staff were very friendly and kept the room in good condition with regular servicing. Room was very comfortable and warm during a classic Otago winter. Strongly recommend to anyone staying in the region, will definitely be back.

Great place to stay, perfect for a night away and close to good cafes and easy walk into town, would be a great place to stay if you were involved with University of Otago. Lots of parking and the staff were so friendly and helpful, went above and beyond.

Excellent stopover on the Otago Rail Trail. Beautiful country location and friendly hosts. Lovely dinner at the nearby Lauder Hotel.

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms peaceful - didn’t hear any noise from other guests. Room was cleaned each day with towels and toiletries replaced. great water pressure in shower! decent breakfast, good options - buffet when in alert level orange, a la carte when in red.

Beautiful facility! The staff were amazing. They were very helpful and accommodating! We booked a tour for early morning and the kitchen was able to prepare us to go meals! The hot tub experience was also fantastic-the view was amazing!

Amazing place with the best view from the balcony. Comfortable bed, incredible hot tub, and cozy fireplace made our stay perfect. We also enjoyed the cinema option, which offered a selection of old movie, making our stay more interesting and unique. Thank you!
